So I found a site like craigslist for guns with free classifieds Armslist , but seems to be a lot of over priced retail. Also did some research and found a lot of scams occur on there. Just a warning about the scams guys. Be careful out there.

At least gunbroker is verified. I don't know about a listing on a classified where there is no forum for comments about the seller like on armslist. That's what worries me.
I've used it. I found deals on ammo, accessories, and gear. I sold a .22 there. Like you said "craigslist of guns." just make sure you do deals face to face and you'll be fine.
I was on Craigslist a few months ago and decided to search for "Barrett". I looked under the city of Austin. Low and behold someone was selling a Barrett .50 cal and even had a pic. I just laughed. I figured it was the Feds looking for some "buyers".
I sold a 7.62x39 colt upper on a stag lower... nice, but very basic gun for 950, a cheap off brand scope and burris rings for 150, a basic 14.5" bushmaster upper for 600, 2 magpul mags and 200 rounds of m193 to a guy this past weekend for 1800 bucks!
Like someone said earlier... do deals face to face, and talk to people on the phone. There are some nice people out there.

I put up a post, and it said it would appear in a few minutes. It isn't up.
I noticed that the newest posts are 3 days old. Maybe the site owner moderates all posts and is 3 days behind?
The site seems interesting- I would like to be able to buy guns on Craigslist. I bought furniture there, I've bought appliances, and an air compressor- and to me I don't see any reason but liberal stupidity that CL removes guns listed on its site.
I also loved the Craigslook site and it's craigslist nationwide search function- that turned CL into a powerful searchable site like EBAY- but CL owners sued and had Craigslook put down. Now search tempest is the only search tool for CL, and it is crap compared to craigslook which was awesome.
