What's the current situation on these? Discontinued? I was able to get to the rifle's page on their website and it is listed as backordered. It's also listed as $2495. I don't remember them being that expensive. In the future, I would like to locate one without the scope. Not in the market at the moment, hence why I don't just call Creedmoor Sports and ask.

Would that mean that they occasionally build some? It seems like they were a big thing and then just disappeared.

It means that when they get the rifles they build them into 1941a1's. Otherwise they build other rifles.
