Crimson Trace 5 series vs Cronus

Trying to decide between Crimson Trace 5 series 3-24x56mm and Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56mm. Anybody with side by side comparison or opinion?

FWIW, the CT 5 series is discontinued so warranty work or replacement may be more of an issue than with the Athlon, which was recently updated.

Edit: the CT 3-24 also has that terrible reticle. I'd pass just for that.

I've had both. Cronus all day.

I have a CT 3 Series 5-25x with decent reticle and while it is nice....It's an easy decision to pick the Cronus.

I did like the cronus reticle better. Just didn't want to be disappointed that the CT had better glass.
