Cronus

Is the Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 APLR ( sku# missing ) FFP moa the one with floating dot ? I'm intrested if it is . Also would it be possible to pay with USPS money order ? THX

No it is not. The APRS1 is the Cronus BTR floating dot and now the APRS6 on the new Cronus BTR Gen2 is a newly updated floating dot reticle with all .2mil hash marks all the way down the tree and they removed the thick post at the 12 oclock position in the reticle.....

You can find some pretty good deals on the XTRIII also. I imagine much like the Tango 6, when it catches on the stupid good deals will disappear. The Cronus is like the Walmart version of the Tango 6 or XTRIII. Its good, don't get me wrong, but the other two are better. We are splitting hairs. The sight picture is like going from your 32" TV, to your buddies big screen.

The Tango 6 is almost double the Cronus, and the Xtr is a solid $650 over the Cronus.
At any rate, calling the Cronus "Walmart" is just not correct at any price point, and at the $1,150 level, it's very likely the best thing out there until you jump up another $500 in price.

Please read newbie. "You can find some pretty good deals on the XTRIII also. I imagine much like the Tango 6, when it catches on the stupid good deals will disappear."

You can have an XTRIII for much less than you think.

The Cronus is the Walmart version of the other scopes in its price point. I don't know what to tell you. Not sorry if that hurts your feelers. There is a reason its getting an update . 🤷‍♂️

Why would it hurt my feelings?

Yeah, you can get some good deals,, relative to the msrp, but at best, you're still $400 away with the Burris, and more with the tango.

Also, it's not being updated because it had issues, or was junk. Things get updated. Reticles, adjustments, ect.

Op wasn't asking or suggesting that the Cronus was THE best scope, but was it the best at $1150,which it is.

Its getting updated because it has been surpassed by everything in its price point. You are the one throwing the "junk" word around here.

Are you familiar with what a simile is? When I say "splitting hairs," I am not literally cutting hairs in half long wise. :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

XRSII costs less pretty good deal too. I paid less than that for my XTRIII and a couple Tango 6s, I paid less than that for a MK5 also. "Best deal" You should know nothing is ever "best." the question is always what is available, how long you are willing to wait, and how hard are you willing to look.

Let's work under the assumption that someone needs a scope now, not in 18 months when a sale comes along.

"In 26 months Razor will be on sale for $1,200!!! That's the best deal! Just, you know,,,, wait.
