Crye Precision Combat Pants

Re: Crye Precision Combat Pants

No, they sell their stuff exclusively, MHO..its wayy overprice for what you're buying. You can get similar stuff from tru-spec and propper. The combat pants are really just "tacticool" and kinda redic for $180 (plus you then have to go buy the knee pad inserts)...I got a pair of their BDU field pants and for $115, it was definitely a one time purchase. They claim they are all about the soldiers and first responders, but for a company that is based out of brooklyn,ny they seem to be really more concerned with paying rent and making clothing for movies. I work as a firefighter and rescue diver in NY and they really couldn't care less. I actually wrote Caleb (the CEO) a long letter expressing my concern with their product, their employees rediculous behavior over the phone and how they only seemed to care about selling basically 10 products that looked good in transformers and the A-team.

In summation...you want tacticool, and you have buku $$$ go for it...otherwise move on

I could possibly Photoshop her putting on Crye pants....

Thanks for the replies guys. I am not really digging the price either. I have read in other places where they don't have the best customer service, but I thought they might have just been bashing without cause.

Re: Crye Precision Combat Pants

I got some stuff from Crye about 4 years ago. Had great service with them on the phone. I got the field pants and the field jacket. It is very similar to tru-spec. The Crye is made better then the tru-spec but not what they charge different.

Re: Crye Precision Combat Pants

A gal answered the phone last time I called..while friendly, she had ZERO product knowledge, and by the time we were done talking...I felt like I had educated her on most of their offerings.

Later sent several emails without reply...then sent one last poisoned pen email to them for a last hoorah.

I like some of their kit...but I don't like it as much as they do pricewise.

Figure it like this, if you are buying the pants for "real use"...then anticipate them getting ripped, torn, restitched, re-torn, stained, etc... If you are cool with that despite paying 100+ bucks on them...right on! If not...buy elsewhere, I dig multicam stuff, but am 100% sold on Jarhead Desert MARPAT for my "here and there"
