It's not exactly a drop in, but close. Check it for TIR at the tip compared to the body before doing anything. If it's off by 0.003" or more, send it back and ask for a new one.
One tool required and a second recommended. The recommended tool is a firing pin removal tool, available from a number of places. The required tool is a firing pin spring compression tool. Check out YOU-Tube for videos on how to use the tools.
The hardest part is fitting the new pin to the cocking piece. You'll probably have to sand a flat and a taper on the end of the new pin to get it to fit. GO SLOW! You will see when the holes on the firing pin and cocking piece line up. DO NOT force the pin to fit.
