If you had 2 identical scopes in 50mm and 1 had a 34mm tube and the other a 30mm would their be a differece in sight picture quality or image at all. I know that you have more adjustment going to 34mm but was wondering about if the extra 4mm makes a difference in image quality.

The short answer is "not really." And I've never understood the whole more elevation argument. My 30mm tube SS10x42M has about 128 MOA of elevation--more than any scope I know of with a 34 or 35 mm tube (correct me if wrong). As far as the light/sight picture, I don't see the deal. Maybe technically. Noticeably? Not to me.
