I have had a nxs 5.5-22x50 mil dot zs hs 1/10 mil adj on order for 18 weeks. Is this what others out there are experiencing too?

Don't know who you ordered it from, but they are readily available. Hell, even MidwayUSA has them in stock right now!!

You're really at the mercy of whoever you placed the order through. It'll depend on how far back of the line you're in and how far back of the line your dealer is.
Not trying to sound like an ass but I normally order stuff that's in stock to prevent situations that you are in. See if you can get your money back and order from someone else.
Just to name a few, OpticsPlanet may have them in stock, EuroOptic has them in stock, CS Tactical is another good vendor.

i hear ya on ordering stuff that is in stock! but i ordered this from precision sports by oshkosh wi. they are about an hour from where i live. they are also a pretty well stocked place for reloading components. and, when i can, i like to do local business. i do however hate giving a dime to uncle sam in sales tax money. the place i ordered it from usually always has nightforce in stock, they just didnt have the 1/10 mil adj in. i have a naked gap crusader.....this is killing me not shooting it. almost tempted to take a damn vx iii i have and plop it on for some trigger time lol.

Pricing on the NF scopes is what it is, so if you want it or you have to have it NOW, contact Precision Sports and find out if you can get a refund (if you have put any money down) then place an order with someone who actually has one in stock that you can have in your hands before the end of the week. Most smaller outfits take a bloodbath on special orders like this without keeping some portion of your money, so if you have put money down, I wouldn't be surprised if that's also the case with Precision Sports. Its worth a phone call to find out. May still be worth your while to take a small hit on the price if you get to avoid paying the 5.5% state/county sales tax and you can have your scope in hand without any further delay. Your call...

i actually got a pretty good deal on the scope. it was cheaper after sales tax than buying from other places online. they are a class 3 dealer and do a lotta stuff with l.e. when i ordered this scope, they had a pile of NF scopes on the shelf, was there two weeks ago, none left. they move a pile of em. they already have the money. so im sure i would be issued "in store credit" lol.
