Has anyone had issues just using the set screws for the “quick change barrel”. Does the action need to be torqued on with an action wrench or is tightening the barrel by hand then using the set screws sufficient?

Works both ways.

But they suggest a different spec for barrels being torqued on vs barrels using the screws.

If your torque on, no need for screws. If you use screws, no need to torque. But, according to them, you need to pick which one you’re using when you have the barrel chambered.

No issues with running set screws only.
