Does anyone know if anyone ever carries any custom leather for a full size 1911 in their store ?

Not sure about walk in stores, but Wilson Combat usually has available stock. Leather, shark, some elephant etc..
I have a Wilson sharkshin rig, I like it.

I just got a Wilson Combat in sharkskin for my 4" kimber. I really like it. Bought the belt and matching magazine holder. They have many styles in stock. You won't be disappointed.

Try Nighthawk. Even if they make it, it's typically faster than most.

Try Lightning Arms. They have 5 Shot, Milt Sparks, Del Fatti and Ritchie Leather (an associate of the late Lou Alessi) holsters in stock.

I have 2 Ritchie holsters, one for a defender, the other a full size gov't model. Both are CQ-QR models. Check his website and under partners, he lists where you might find them in stock. I went to Top gun Supply for one -Gov't- and bought one directly from Ritchie. These are outstanding holsters and worth every penny. I'm a leather guy for what it's worth. Hope this helps.
