Custom sizing die

For the guys that have had a custom sizing die made. Is this something that one's gunsmith would do while making the rifle or do you have a company make them for you with fired cases? Thanks

Gunsmiths can do it, but it’s easier and cheaper to have a custom die maker do it. Fired cases or a reamer print will usually do, depends on the maker.

I like Neil jones. It’s a different design than the others in that the two supplied neck bushings(two neck diameters .001 apart)incorporate the shoulder as well. The bushing is controlled by the micrometer top. This allows full and consistent sizing of the body, but independent control the amount of shoulder bump.


Whidden, harrell’s, and CH4D do custom dies as well.

I finally bit the bullet and got a custom die made by Warner Tool Co......buy once, cry once
