I'm looking for a good smith to handle this work for me. I inquired a while back but never got around to doing it. I'm anxious to do it now as I want to have more projects to work on. I'm looking for QUALITY work, no hacksaw and brass screw stuff, but I also don't need match grade work/costs either.

I'll provide everything needed (gas block, barrel nut, hand guard compression ring, bird cage). PM me if you can do it or just let me know a good smith to send it to!

Thanks guys!!

I'd say you'd be money ahead to sell your barrel and buy one of the shorter length. You'll likely have at least $100 in gunsmithing work to do that, which is far more than you'd lose by selling yours and buying another one.

Its for looks only- 14.5" won't do it since it would be too short w a standard bird cage.

So, anyone know where to send it or someone who does the work?

adco is known for reasonable/good work. keep in mind once shes done.......its a PITA to remove it. I would just sell the barrel, and get a 14.5 with a longer flash hider(yhm or even better one) the little bit of cosmetic gain,is not worth it IMO.

eta. if you are going to pin on something, I would pin on an improvement, like a recoil check or a more modernized-improved flash hider
