Cut Rifle Barrel Manufacturers?

Okay, I have a Satern and I LOVE it. Got two more on order, should have 'em before I go gray. They're my 6.5G source, I can't say enough good about those barrels, not enough bad about how long it takes to get it (you almost think they just lost your order at times).

But who else makes top notch cut rifle barrels? Interested in what sub-MOA groups you're getting in whatever you shoot, but particularly with AR's in any calibre. I'd also like to know how long you waited once you ordered it.

I know there's a lot of good makers out there, and I know some swear by button rifling, but I just can't ignore what this Satern's done for my shooting, and come on, how many AR's consistently shoot .33MOA? It's almost boring.

So what do you use, what do you prefer, who is your "Satern" (or swear by favorite cut rifle barrel maker)?

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, only one I haven't heard of is Chanlynn.

Pick any number of different cut-rifled barrel mfg's and you can have them all in an AR platform if you so choose. I have yet to meet a Krieger, Rock Creek, Bartlein, Obermeyer, Brux, etc...the list goes on and on...that wouldn't shoot sub-MOA if the shooter did their part, including blanks from those companies turned into AR-platform tubes!

Personally, and specifically with regard to ARs, I have had nothing but purely excellent results from Krieger 1:7.7 twist barrels in a variety of contours/lengths in .223/5.56, especially their DCM barrels (many solid 1/2MOA shooters). Similarly, their AR-10 barrels in .308 are also spectacular offering easy sub-MOA accuracy, although I have only had two samples of my own, but I have seen many others perform equally well. In terms of wait...I think the longest I've waited for a Krieger was ~7mos (but still probably much shorter than you'll be waiting for a Satern these days).

only one I haven't heard of is Chanlynn.

Mark Chanlynn is a disciple of Boots Obermeyer, he makes barrels here in Colorado and worked with AJ Goddard to develop Big Horn Actions. His barrels can shoot for sure!

I think any premium quality barrel be it cut or button-rifled (Lilja/Lothar/Hart/ect) will work great.

I'm partial to Krieger and Obermeyer barrels. Any of the others will serve you as well I'm sure. Don't think you'd stay in business very long if you put out crap and most of these manufacturers have been around for quite a while and have maintained good reputations.

I didn't list them in any particular order. If I remember correctly, I believe the key folks of the manufacturers on my list are all disciples of Boots Obermeyer (Who still makes Obermeyer barrels). My last two barrels I ordered were Brux, but that had to do with timing and availability more than anything else. I had not heard of Mark Chanlynn either until a well-known gunsmith on here suggested I contact him. Unfortunately he had just finished (and sold out of) a run of the barrel I was looking for, and would not be making them again for some time, so I wasn't able to try one of his barrels out. I wanted to do cut-rifled barrels on these project as I have run button rifled before and just wanted to try something new. There are a lot of good button rifle guys out there too - Mullerworks, Lilja, Hart, Broughton, etc. I have a Douglas XX button rifled barrel in 300 WM on my hunting rifle that is a hammer.

Any of these guys do 100% custom work like Satern? For instance, I can send them a diagram with specs and they'll make it just like that. That's not a deal breaker, but it would be nice.
