Right now I have a 22" muzzle crowned heavy barrel. Twist ratio is 1:9. Would cutting this barrel provide any more accuracy, and if so, at what length?

barrels can be cut to improve accuracy IF:
1)bad crown
2)the muzzle end of barrel is larger than bore
3)bad barrel harmonics....for load you`re using/trying to use.
if crown is good and bore is o.k... try a tuner.

Try having it recrowned. If your gunsmith takes off just a bit, you will lose no more than an 1/8th of an inch.

In general, I seriously doubt the wisdom of modifying a barrel, other than dressing up a crown.
I think that by comparison, it's better to have another barrel made to the desired specs than to alter an existing one. The basic concept of spending twice to get one result is just illogical, IMHO. I am mindful of the adage about making a sow's ear from a silk purse.
