Rifle Scopes CW or CCW

If you had a choice for your elevation turret on your scope would you have it Clockwise or counter clockwise and why?

CCW because that is pretty much the standard in the USA. Will have to look at my hunting scopes, but I know all my tacticals are CCW.

CCW because it's easier to crank that direction with your left hand, you have more leverage. I expect lefties prefer CW.

In My opinion if feels more intuitive to use CCW. When using a screwdriver clockwise is down and CCW is up. Therefore when dialing in your dope it feels more natural to me to move CCW. Of course years of experience will render this point moot.

I've got both, it makes no difference. Train with whatever you will be using under stress wether thats work or competition. If its just for casual range shooting it really doesn't matter.

CW makes more intuitive sense since we read from left to right and when we count numbers, the lists are typically arranged in ascending order left-to-right.

Usually, we end up adopting what we grew up with. That said, all my optics are CCW so far but I have a CW Hensoldt coming.
