CZ 455 varmint 22magnum

I like mine. Adjusted the stock trigger down to a carry safe 3.5 lbs.
Pillared and bedded the receiver and barrel.
For hunting I use a CenterPoint 4-16x40 mil-dot scope.
Accuracy depends on the ammo quality.
Best results at 100 yards came from 30 gr ballistic tips.
It's definitely not a target round, but for rodent control extremely effective.
2K plus rounds fired, no problems.
For range use I picked up a Lilja 17 hmr match barrel.
Use a Mueller 8-32x44 target reticle for the 200 yard bench.
I'm waiting on the set trigger to be available from the CZ webstore.
When that arrives and is installed, I'll be satisfied with the setup.
The factory trigger works fine for hunting, but the set trigger makes
the difference off the bench. Tried a 453 with a set trigger, very sweet.
Also picked up a 22lr factory bull barrel.
Great combination to have as it allows me to match my barrel to my current ammo supply.

I have a 452 Varmint in 22 WMR. Amazing accuracy in both the original stock and a Boyds tactical.
I've only had mine for a short while. Currently have the 17hmr barrel, will likely be purchasing the 22lr and wmr as well. Shoots well, even in search for which ammo is best. I think the trigger upgrade will be a big step up.
It is well built in my opinion, I chose it over the savage. It felt solid in my opinion, more heft similar to center fire than rimfire. I suppose that could be viewed as negative but I appreciate it. It exuded a completely different quality.
Important to note:
3/8 dovetail - limits mounting options. 'DIP' rail seems to be a common fix. I bought CZ's steel euro rings, enough clearance for 56mm objectives and 30mm tube. Flat head screws are a bit ridiculous though
Trigger leaves a bit to be desired. I have their single set on order which was very cheap and I've heard is excellent.
The PT version with the Manners stock is Very nice. I really like the wood on the Varmint but the PT is a step up. I became acquainted with it just after I bought mine. I may have forked over the extra if it was there before.
