My most favorite rifle so far. CZ 457 Varmint MTR that I set it up as my target rifle.

i like it , it's a great gun at the price it was or maybe still is just wondering i saw a video of a guy take one of these and do his own version of the at one with the mtr with adjustable cheek rest and but stock sadly since seeing the video I have not been able to find it again . Have you thought about either of those options for yours ?

I think I have seen the video as well a while ago.
I do not plan to do any modification to the rifle. This is pretty much it. I will mostly use the rifle to compete in ARA Factory Class, occationally F-TR class matches, and some virtual matches (online) which require CZ rifle in stock configuration. Also, I really like the way it is. :)

Curious if it has a threaded barrel, and if that's a Diamondback Tactical scope. I'm definitely thinking about an MTR for myself, or possibly the standard wood stocked 457 Varmint. Depending on availability around here.

I believe 16" threaded barrel version is not available in the US. Mine is 20" non-threaded.

Here is a side by side picture of my MTR and standard Varmint..

Maxi,
Have you had an opportunity to shoot a ARA factory target? I shot a couple recently practicing and scored a 2125 and a 2200. The range where I'm shooting now doesn't want me to set up flags. It's a public range and free. I think with flags I will be able to score better. I have also shot IR 50/50 targets with my UL rifle and had a couple 250's this past summer. It's my first year shooting matches and I'm looking forward to the spring. Oh, I'm 77.
