So Cal, USA
Got it out of jail yesterday. Changed out the grips, recoil spring and mainspring. DA/SA is greatly improved by going with the 13lb main spring. Trigger is still a little gritty, loving the wide smooth trigger shoe though! Going to leave it as is for now and hope it smooths out with use so I don't have to bust out my dremel and polish up parts. Still quite a bit of take up on the trigger. Going to purchase and install the competition hammer and see if that helps out. It feels fantastic in hand! I now understand why so many say CZ's point so well. Digging how how high I can grip it thanks to that beavertail. A little disappointed with the grip of the wood grips. Going to give the VZ grips a try (army green diamond backs) loved the Aliens I had on my 1911. It's a nice stout firearm just how I like em. Going to put the first 200 rounds through it tomorrow after work. Range report to follow.

Pardon my shitty cell phone pics the little lady took the Digi cam with her.

All I can say is I am a fan. Best 9mm I've ever shot. 200 flawless rounds. Recoil is next to nothing, it really surprised me. Felt like a 22 on roids. Trigger is light and breaks crisply but it still needs to be smoothed out (I can feel a little grittiness. FYI I'm anal about triggers) There's also a good amount of slack in the trigger(again I'm being picky here) if it wasn't so light I would bitch up a storm lol. Seriously thinking of going single action only but keeping the stock trigger and smoothing it out as well as getting rid of the extra pre travel. I REALLY like that wide trigger shoe. Overall I am thoroughly impressed by this handgun. I plan to shoot the living shit out of it and get my handgun skills back up to what they used to be. Below is what I shot after almost two years of pretty much shooting nothing but rifles with the rare handgun shoot thrown in. Did I mention I love this gun?....

Re: CZ 75 SP-01

Awsome grips buddy! Can't beat CZ's no matter how hard you try. Did you order those grips from CZ? Looks like they have the CZ logo on them.

Can you do it yourself? I looked in to sending it to them, but it was going to get really pricey.

Re: CZ 75 SP-01

The trigger will smooth itself out and feel just fine once you put about 1000 rounds through it. I second the feeling about CZ's.....they can't really be beat. Be careful, they have a tendency to multiply.

Mine smoothed out some, but it's still stagey. I know what you mean...I've got 3 of their rimfires and another pistol (82).
