Does anyone have any actual experience with one of these?

2100 bones is a pretty stiff sum, especially if it is nothing more than a CZ550 varmint in a different stock.

I have tried searching, but very few people have posted anything about it.

Re: CZ 750?

I think you are better OFF , getting the varmint & buying the 10rd mags IF you really want a CZ rifle .

They are just the varmint dropped into a different looking stock ( Plastic ) , not fibreglass , the kevlar varmint is probably a more rigid stock .

You're talking about this right?

I havent dealt with it, but it looks kinda badass

Re: CZ 750?

I do not own 1 but my shooting buddy has just bought a cz750 and we shot 1 last weekend.
The stock is AIish and fully adjustable, I found it quite a physically big gun. The trigger on the example we shot had not been adjusted and was a mushy 3lb's. The muzzle brake that was fitted worked as intended and recoil was very tame. The owner of the cz750 was a complete noob and had put a pos £200 Falcon menace scope on it, the targets at 500m were difficult to make out well but the gun shot well.
I was impressed by the CZ. With good glass and ammo I reckon it will shoot, although Im not choppin my TRG for 1.

Re: CZ 750?

I have to say that my CZ 750 shoot like lazer, for over a year and half, when shoot Federal 168gr GMM and Lapua 155gr Scenar factory ammo and I did my part of the job, The rifle can shoot consistant around 1/3 inch 5 shot group at 100yd, on good day it's a 1/4MOA plinking rifle, the group of Lapua is a little better than GMM, seems my rifle like light bullet, but even with heavier 175gr SMK, It seldom goes above 0.5inch on 100yd.

I'm using the 4.5lbs factory trigger.

Sorry for bump up old posts.

Re: CZ 750?

Once you adjust the trigger, its a great gun, certainly heavy, but great for target shooting.

I have found that 168 FedGMM shoots better with the brake but 175 FedGMM shoots best without the brake. I was making 2-3inch groups at 300yds, but the gun probably could have done better with a different person behind the scope.

Re: CZ 750?

I have been shooting a CZ750 for just over a year now. I bought one because I needed a rapid firing 400 to 1000 yard precision rifle. And couldn't afford one...
I have found the CZ750 to be tempestuous, misunderstood and superb. I have tried everything to make the purchase of this rifle worth the £1,800 (second hand) I paid for it. I was initially disappointed because I had a pretty basic scope on it and was using ex-mil ammo. I have now found the ingredient. A decent scope. The accuracy of it with handloads is excellent. I have put an IOR 4-14X50 scope with IOR heavy rings on. The crystal clarity of this scope has made all the difference to the shootability of this rifle. It is a heavy piece of kit. No doubt. It (like all precision rifles) needs a good scope to maximise it's performance.

I shoot mainly 'practical rifle' at Bisley and MOD ranges in Southern England. Details are 10 rounds (plus sighters) fired at scored 12, 12C, 11 and 14 targets under time pressures varying from 45 to 120 seconds.

I have now put more than 2000 rounds through the rifle and am delighted with the performance of it. My first 600 rounds were a mixture of anxiety, disappointment and ecstasy. There is not much I can't hit with it. I'm not saying it's perfect. It is currently in with my gunsmith having a bigger bolt knob,20MOA scope rail and HK sling swivel loops put in the rear stock. I am also getting them to crisp up the trigger. My gunsmith is ARMALON UK. I have other rifles of his so I know he does a good job. CZ trigger is a bit mushy out of the box for hardcore shooters like my current club members...

I have experienced superb accuracy with:
168 SMK's, Lapua brass, CCI primers, 43.5 grains of VVN-140(about 2600fps)
175 SMK's, Lapua Brass, CCI primers, 42.5 grains of VVN-140 (about 2500fps)
155 SMK's, Lapua Brass, CCI primers, 44.5 grains of VVN-140 (about 2800fps)

But the key is the 175SMK. Just load so it suits your rifle in the temperature you are shooting in. 43 gr VVN-140 or similar should do it. I know this is above the loading manual data so work up in increments. And understand where the data is being published...

Just to update anybody interested in a CZ750. I have been working up my loads and have found that 44 grains of VN140 or 45 grains of Varget are producing outstanding accuacy in this gun. (175 grain SMK's) I am gettting 0.6 inches at 100 yards and 0.8 minutes (2.6 inches) out to 300 yards. These rather hot loads are proving very accurate out to 1000 yards and the heavy barrel of the 750 will cope with 20 round details without losing accuracy due to heat. I have reloaded the brass 5 times now and there is no sign of pressure so far. 2.80 COAL.

For shorter matches I have taken to using 42 Grains of VN140 with 168 SMK's. A beautiful load. 0.3 of an inch at 100.

The more I shoot this gun the more respect I get for it. They are not very popular and they are condemned for being industrial, heavy and clunky. I have now put 3000 rounds through it and NEVER had a jam or a misfire.

Not much data available for the CZ750. I must confess to liking this rifle very much. LONG LIVE IT!!!

Re: CZ 750?

I own a few hunting 550's and older Brno 602's...Given one of my 550's is chambered in 505 Gibbs I find it sort of an odd or at least over-sized tactical piece. I have a 550 action downstairs and I think its near 5 pounds with the bottom metal!

I can tell you this.
It will feed, eject, and go Fucking BANG! every time you pull the trigger no matter what shithole you are rolling in.
African dangerous game guides bet their life on these things for good reason.

Not the worse choice that is for sure.

Re: CZ 750?

k, so I am a new owner of a 750 and am at a loss with the rail for attachment of a bipod. I live a small town and the gun shops around here are not to knowledgeable. I looked through the manual and it doesn't mention what type of adapter it needs, and I am not finding much on line. Some one mentioned it was an Anchultz style bipod adapter slot. can anyone help me out and show me what I need before I waste money buying something online that won't work?

Re: CZ 750?

Ha ha. I am updating this thread even though I am the only contributor. Anyway.I have just had my gunsmith work on the trigger of my CZ750. For £26.00 he polished the contact faces and reset it to factory. It is now as crisp and friendly as any of my other rifles (except my RPA, which in my opinion has the best trigger you can buy). An unbelievable difference! He also put on a bigger bolt knob and a 20 MOA scope rail. I have loaded some lovely 175 gain ammo and will be taking it to the range this week for some accuracy testing. Will let you see the pictures.

Re: CZ 750?

Excellent series of reports. I recently acquired 750 and I am thinking about reloading for it. Your load experimentation reports are really appreciated. Thanks casual sniper!
