So the manual says to keep the lens cover on even when it's turned off so that light does not damage the tube. How about the ocular lens? It does not have a cover, can I leave a PVS-14 with objective lens covered, occular lens exposed in daylight condition?

Related question - would strong light shined into ocular lens while the unit is on damage the tube?

Studying the operating principle of the tube tells me it's OK - since the light hits MCP first with photocathode in its back, thus no electrons are produced to damage it anything. But thought I'd check with the experts just to be sure.
