That's like Black powder kind of smoke. 😄

There are .45 ACP black powder loadings available commercially. And this dude looks like somebody who would load his .45 ACP EDC rounds with black powder just because he shoots black powder revolvers as well and want to use the same kind of propellant in a variety of platforms. Fuck, that is what I do all the time. 😂

From second look though, the store might have been equipped with an anti-robbery fogging system and the other worker pressed a switch somewhere to activate it...

An oldie but goodie. Captain obvious here ... how smart is it to rob a gun store? That guy took a direct hit to the nervous system.

It is never about the the amount of rounds expended, but accurate hit placement, that determines the outcome of a gunfight. That is why most heavy duty military munitions are guided as soon as the technology to make bombs and rockets 'smart' existed.

I couldn't agree more. I'm just going off experience of watching deer (and others) drop in the field.

Watching it again. It's one pause, two, then maybe another round. Then the rest at the other guy. I don't see a slide lock to rear when he comes back up.

Is there a reload before he comes back up?

Edit: just watched again. Think it's only 6 shots

Love to know more about the store setup itself. The "smoke" almost seems to emanate from the counter when the glass breaks (but not just from the glass, even from the solid register side). Then a few seconds later it's coming from the ceiling. Very odd.

lol Now I'm watching it like frame by frame. Seems like shot number 1 dumps "Dula", the glass breaking might have been from him shooting back.

Bullet's on it's way, empty case is in the air. He's on his way to the floor when the glass breaks.

Could be a fogging system activated. Some banks and large sneaker stores (very prone to robbery) have them installed here. I can definitely see a gun store having them. They can either be manually activated or are set up to fire when a burglary alarm goes off. They are non-pyrotechnic and use an electric heating coil to turn a liquid solution into vapor much like how an electronic cigarette works. Then a fan blasts the vapor down into the room from multiple outlets. They can start off slow because it takes just a bit of time for the coils to get hot enough to start cranking out fog in earnest like an avalanche.

I've seen photos of them in action.... but other than making the security cameras useless, what are they supposed to accomplish? Make it so criminal and victim alike run into walls? :)

The idea is for them to be hooked up to a premises alarm after the store has been closed, and when people break in, it starts firing. Burglars already inside would be disoriented, making it easier for LE to capture them, and any accomplices still outside would see that their game is up and run away. In an occupied store, it would be extremely counterproductive. Everybody would be blinded and disoriented, and in an active shooter situation, even worse if innocents and armed citizens are also trapped in the fog. If this had been the case here, the other employee at the far right corner of the screen might have instinctively pressed a panic alarm when he ducked out of sight and triggered the system.
