I have a two part question. Question #1 Does Daniel Defence produce quality ar-15 type guns? the reason i ask is because i have a friend that works there and i am thinking about getting a lower form them, i would be putting a geissele trigger on it. i would also be putting a panther grip on it with a magpull UBR stock on the Daniel Defence lower. for the upper i will be using the psc-11 upper with an 18" barrel medimum contour produced by JP Enterprises. Question #2 I would also like to know if you think this would be a good setup or if it would even work. i would also be using the Daniel Defence 14'' light handguard. thoughts and suggestions will be take into account. first hand users thoughts on the daniel defence guns would be nice. i have read alot about Daniel Defence and they seem to produce some good stuff.

FWIW - I have a mid-length gov't contour barrel from DD and also one of their rails (Omega X 9.0). Quality of both are great, and I'd buy from them again without reserve. Customer service (Bill, I think his name was) is also first-rate from my experience.

I have a complete gun. Fit and finish is excellent and eats every thing I feed it.

Just have one question for you. Have you looked at the DD complete rifles and compared to what you stated above. Like all the others are saying DD is good to go. Just something to think about. Everything you mentioned should work no problems. Since you would like to run a 18" barrel think about mid length or maybe even rifle length on the gas system.

Go to Daniel Defense's website and watch the video of what Larry Vickers did to a DD. Blew up w/C4, dropped from helicopter, ran over w/a 4-door jeep, threw in muddy lake, shot w/birdshot, etc. and it still ran after every test. Amazing weapons. BCM is comparable as well, SWAT ran one for 27,000 rds or so with no cleaning, only lube.
Either one is in my opinion, the best bang for the buck. I'd take either into any battle. Why not the complete package though? You can always re-barrel with a better barrel, and have all DD parts.

It was Pat Rogers that did the testing, and he took it to 31,165 when the article came out...continuing on to a total of <span style="font-weight: bold">51,162</span> rounds before retiring it. The bolt was replaced a few times.

DD lowers are great. I wish they still sold them. I'd rather have one of those than my Noveske.
