Dasher with Berger 109’s??

You’re only gonna get .2 or so better wind at 1k with a 10mph full value wind. Your elevation will be around .3 better.

That’s running the same speed as a 105.

Up to you if that dope increase is worth the price increase.

The 110 smk's can be a pain sometimes. But when you do they're killer.
Many are praying that the 109's aren't as picky.
Berger should have worked on getting the 109's BC closer to .6

Why not the smk 110’s they have bc above .6

When the 110 SMK's came out, they were better than sliced bread. Even though I was running them at 2820 out of my Dasher, my wind alway seemed to be .1-.2 less than everyone I shot with. They shot AMAZING! When I ran out after a while and got a new lot in - they sucked. Nothing like going into a PRS match thinking your about to skull drag people and your dope doesn't line up, and watching fliers that are more than .5 mils off target inside 500 while prone.

I'm going to stick with Berger 105 hunting VLDs or Hybrids in my Dashers. I've tried the S110s with RL16 out of a 26" Bartlein 1-7.5tw on my TL2 Dasher and found that 2770fps is as hard as I can push them & still get decent accuracy - will probably wind up shooting the 500ct box of 110s out of 7.5tw bbls on my 6x47 & 6XCs. No real desire to invest more $$$ in another bullet at this point, even if the 109 is a bit better than the 105s & 110s. Still have too many boxes of DTAC 115s sitting in the loading room to go spending money on the latest boutique bullets...

This is the unfortunate reality of the 110s. One lot they are AWESOME, the next, you can’t hit the broad side of a barn. Most have gone back to 105s because you at least don’t have to mess with them.

The 109s are actually shooting very well. Using my 105 powder charge and seating depth produces about 35fps slower velocity but shoot very similar to the 105s.

I didn’t notice much difference at distance. The corrections were pretty much the same. 105s needed a little less (.1 or less) elevation and the wind holds were the same to center on both of them. My early thoughts are you’re really going to want to drive them faster to see any appreciable difference in performance.

I’m actually hoping the 109s ease some of the demand for the 105s as well. I will gladly shoot whatever is available as far as I’m concerned.
