Here is my daughter's 2009 deer, It is the thrid one she has harvested. It was a 200 yard shot with a .243.

I would say one like this is far and few between. It was taken in the Southeast corner of the state about 10 miles from the Texas border. I scouted the area a few days before the hunt and saw this deer and two larger ones that did not show this evening. The evening she shot this one there was a wider spread, but not as tall deer in the group. By far the best county in the state to hunt deer is Rio Arriba County.
