I am currently waiting on paperwork to clear for both an SBR and a suppressor. I just found out last week that my dealer/FFL was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is not expected to make it. I went by the shop on Saturday and it is locked up with a for sale sign out front. When I try to call the shop number it rings then goes to a fax. I called the ATFE several times this week but can't get anyone to answer a phone or call me back. What are my options and what happens if he passes away before the paperwork clears? I spoke to the ATFE back in early January and the timeframe they gave me then puts me around July having the paperwork clear. There is a new shop that has opened up that is a class III dealer. If I can get the items transferred to them do I have to pay my $200.00 again and start the wait over?
