Nobody, myself included, remembered it yesterday.

Local radio station had a WWII vet on for about an hr yesterday AM. He was a teen on 12-7, his dad stationed at Pearl. After HS he joined the Navy wanting to be a gunner; they made him a corpsman. Really interesting hearing him speak. Not many of them still with us now.

At work, we lowered the flag and a few of our guys weren’t sure what the day was about.

I remembered. My grandfather taught me never to forget. I also remember every year that the Japanese have never admitted to or apologized for the worst war crimes in history. I do not allow myself or my family to forget the destruction permitted by Eastern values.

I did... with a prayer and a couple of shots of Macallan's 18.. there are a number of events in our military history that our general population has sadly grown passed, and shamefully... Victory at Yorktown, Alamo, San Jacinto, Gettysburg, Appomattox Courthouse, San Juan Hill, Pearl Harbor, Bataan Death March, Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Midway, D-Day, St. Lo, Metz, Arnhem, Bastogne/Bulge and Hiroshima/Nagasaki... Many of us True Believers and Faithful who had family who fought in these events will never forget... And it is at the core of our collective strength...
