Decent deal or not?

It doesn't seem to be too bad a deal, assuming no one bids on it and the final price = the start price. I'd prefer that gun in 6.5CM but nothing wrong w/308. Seekins makes good stuff. Additionally, USO still supports their older scope lines, regardless of where or when it was made so if the scope shits the bed, USO will warranty repair it.

I agree. It's not a new rifle. Would you pay sticker price for a used car?

Gunbroker is retarded. It's where you go to find the maximum upper end of what firearms sell for. It's not the place you go to bargain shop. I can probably count on one hand even the OK deals I've seen over the last ten years.

I don't know a single broker/store who buys anything off it, but most of them sell on it, because it's so big a market that there are a ton of suckers who want something and will pay a premium not to have to actually hunt for it.

$4K starting for a used rifle and used optic. It does look like an older USO, so it might be okay (I'm more of a fan of the CA made ones). At best, it is a used rifle still that might pull $1,500 - 2,000, and a used optic that would probably fetch the same at best. That would put it closer to the $3K range for me. $4K requires the buyer to have a hard-on for both the Seekins and the USO... and I'm not a fan of a 20" long (exaggeration) 5-25x on an 18", .308.

I've purchased some used higher-end guns that were used on GB before. My personal rule is to bid no more than 2/3 the cost of new. It means that I pass up a lot of cool-looking items, but I'm not paying new prices for used equipment. Others might see differently.

Remember that you are still taking a risk on buying someone else's problem.

Seems about $1200 high. The SPX is about 10- 11 years out of production if I remember and the USO scope does not have a model, but is not that high. A new SP10 is about $3000
SPX is the current marking on their SP10 lowers. I just bought one of the PX and called them to verify. SPX marking built in 2024. Doesnt mean it isnt the older SPX, but the new models have the same marking.

That being said the barrel on this gun does not appear factory. I would call Seekins (like i did) give them the serial number and they can give you all the information. If that is a builder kit with a random barrel its not a great deal imo.

I paid 2100 for mine, and its an absolute hammer. Got it about a month ago.
