I am looking at a S&B PMII scope and see: Schmidt Bender 5-25x56 PM II/LP Riflescope, Gen II XR cm ccw DT. model number 677-911-772-90-68 for about $2650 (new) which seems like a good deal. (Or can I likely do better through a Hide dealer?)

I understand PM2 = police marksman 2, DT is double turn for the turrets, CCW is counter clockwise elevation turret rotation, and Gen II XR is the reticle So what do "LP" and "cm" mean?

This seems like a "base model" for an S&B, but I am thinking of buying this and selling the Razor AMG when it finally shows up (ordered last August). Are there other features that are "must haves" for the S&B? I think LT is locking turrets and MTC is the turret clicks?

Any love on the Gen II XR reticle? I really like the Vortex EBR-2C in my Gen2 Razor 4-27x56, but not sure about the S&B reticle and no chance for me to look through one...

Yes, LT is Locking Turret, and MTC is More Tactile Clicks. As far as a "base" model for a PMII, other than color, MTC/LT turrets, and a more expensive reticle, that's about all I can think of that you could consider "upgrades," but I wouldn't want any of those features on my scope even if they were free. Some folks like the MTCs, but a lot of people don't because they can be difficult to stop on one-click-over the heavy ones. I'm perfectly happy with a black scope and not that big a fan of the other color, and prefer a simpler reticle over the Christmas tree, more-expensive types.

It's funny, because about 6 months ago I started this same exact thread over on Scout trying to see if there was a key to SBs numeric codes (I understood the letter codes pretty well). No one was able to come up with one though.
