If you guys had to pick between a .308 bolt action gun from from GAP what would you pick?

More importantly what about between the FBI HRT or the M40A5 version they make, and why?

Just fishing for opinions as I am starting to look for a .308 bolt action to compliment the GAP-10 and a surefire can.

Re: Decisions Decisions - GAP bolt action

depending on what you want to do with it I would also add a Gladius into the mix. It doesn't have the Templar action, granted; however, I do have worked over GAP Remington actions that are smooth as butter. It is short, handy and pretty light compared to the M40A5. if you are just shooting prone at the range it doesn't matter but if you are walking with it and hunting - weight matters.

Re: Decisions Decisions - GAP bolt action

I had a crusader for a short term and loved it....however I really like the GAP Rock. Looks like a great all around rifle to me.

That being said...if it was up to me I'd just have them build me one up exactly like I wanted.

Re: Decisions Decisions - GAP bolt action

I'd personally go with a Hospitaller, even though it states .5moa vs 3/8moa like the HRT or Crusader, from what I've seen they all shoot between .25-3/8 moa with match grade ammo. It's also way cheaper than the HRT and unless you really are going to use night vision, the Badger EFR is an expensive option for the coolness factor.

I wonder if they will still build a harbinger? (700 action)

If i had to do it with the rifles on the website, it would be the crusader

No help here either, but I just picked up a new GAP from a fellow member in 300 WSM. AICS 2.0 stock, Templar action, Bartlain #7 barrel and Badger brake. I can't wait to shoot it. Absolutely beautiful gun!!!
