Would a defiance deviant/ruckus action be compatible with a stock/chassis designed for a rem 700?

I noticed some manufacturers ask separately for defiance and rem700/clones

You'll want to ask the manufacturer directly. The side bolt release may be also an issue, but some choose to just dremel them out to fit.

Is there a specific chassis / stock that you are looking at that is driving the question or are you just asking generally speaking? I think generally speaking it's potentially more of an issue on a stock then a chassis; but again it's really dependent on which one you are looking at specifically.
