Hi
I have a rifle built using a Defiance action. The rifle came with standard remington trigger and it works (most of time read below).
I have tried fitting a Huber and a Rifle Basix trigger and neither will work. The firing pin will hold on when safety is on, but will drop once safety switched off. If try to cock rifle without safety on, the bolt will start closing and then then the firing pin will drop. It is not an adjustment issue on the two triggers. I have heard that there was an issue with some Defiance actions the Huber triggers and there was a fix. I am not sure this is correct, could not find any info on this searching! So the rifle will work with a remington trigger but neither the Rifle Basix or Huber will work. Back to the remington.
When I replaced the barrelled action into the stock and tightened the action screws then this trigger too would drop the firingpin. Back the action screws off and it would be fine. It was not doing this previously. I changed the trigger pins around, ie back to front, front to back, and now the remington trigger works again. The stock is a Manners with Chassis system, and it was torqued correctly
I really want to run another trigger on this rifle, and need to solve this issue. I am not 100% with the remington trigger either in respects to safety. it isnt as easy to send the rifle back to the smith, as different countries.
Anyone else had a issue like this with a Defiance and aftermarket triggers?
Cheers
