Don’t think defiance makes a rebel action with extended threads. I think what you’re seeing is the recoil lug appearing to extend them.

The bill says threads 1.403. Right here off the website extended threads

What are the extended threads for? Will this not drop into a rem 700 chassis?

Will not drop into a chassis. Recoil lug is not in a standard Remington location. Recoil lug has moved forward due to extended threads.

Thanks for the clarification. What I figured. I have an original GAP Templar action from 2008 that is the same way. Great action but needs to be bedded into a stock. Good luck with the sale as it’s a good deal for someone looking.
