Defiance Ruckus 6.5 PRC Build Optimum Barrel Length

I'm considering this for hunting, and some target shooting, what's the optimum barrel length that will land me in the "middle ground" of performance and maneuverability?

I would go 22"-24" (personally went with a 24" Proof for my hunting build).

16"-30" will all work. If more hunting I prefer 22"-24". I dont like hunting rifles with barrels over 24" period. It all comes down to personal preference and what percentage of each you will be doing. I will say my remington varmint with a 26" barrel is significantly more cumbersome than my FN SPR with a 24" tube even though the FN is about 4 pounds heavier.

Depends on if you’re using a suppressor and where you’re hunting. I’d go 20” suppressed or 23-24” unsupressed.

I went with 24” and love it. I think it is the perfect combo between performance, efficiency, and maneuverability.
