I'm looking to get a deviant tactical action and am not sure about all the options that they have.
Does anybody have one and can post pictures with the options they have chosen

Did you choose to use a barrel nut? And did it just drop into the chassis

I built that rifle so yes, I chose that barrel nut.

The action is technically a drop in except for the bolt release cutout.

The stock I bought was used and had a messed up bolt handle cutout so I completely redid that. The Deviant ejection port cutout is longer than Remington so I fitted that as well. And the bolt release cutout didn't look right so that was corrected.

When it was all said and done I bedded the action, textured and painted the stock.

So this is my first "personal build". This is a Defiance Tactical in 300 WM, Bartlein barrel, Manners stock, Steiner M5Xi 5X25, Badger rings . This was my first bedding job and it did turn out pretty good, however it was alot of work. The stock was inletted for a REM LA action and a REM sendero/varmint barrel, however I did have to do quite of bit fitting in the barrel channel area, which was unexpected. I changed out the DBM from Seekins to Accurate last minute, which required more "fitting". It's not perfect but I sure did learn alot. Big kudos to the folks at Cerakote for helping me match the paint for the scope, it's pretty dam close Cheers

So this after about 20rds, this is the last 3 after I zeroed the turrets, factory Norma 170gr.

Defiance actions features I picked were, hvy tang, deep fluting & 20 MOA base., REM bolt handle. LA

Yes, they are very smooth. I have a standard push feed setup on my 260 Ackley Improved. Feeds/extracts excellent and smooth bolt.

Yes, very smooth and well built, I didn't Cerakote my bolt just to make sure I didn't lose that smooth action, so if you order an action get the Nitride? or DLC?

Whats DLC

Defiance doesn't offer DLC coating anymore as far as I know. Get the nitride coating, you won't regret it.

Ya, Diamond Like Coating, I believe. That's the one "caveat" with my action I regret, is not getting the Nitride.
