Deltapoint Pro 7.5 - looking for feedback on AR

I had this up in the scope section but had no traffic. Thinking maybe this is a better place for it?

I am considering this sight for a 12.5" SBR. Original game plan was to find a sight like the T1/2 with a 4.5 - 6~ish MOA dot but it seems neither Aimpoint or Trijicon make one.(did not want a reflex sight but it looks inevitable) I have zero need for another 2 MOA dot for a rifle like this, and I'm not wanting to go Vortex or one of the more budget minded units. I want something that's going to be small, light with a bold/fast reticle.

I know there isn't a lot of love for modern Leupolds, but after handling (no battery) one of these it seems to be a rugged, well made and well thought out product. Have any of you used it before? If so, feedback on brightness in daylight, battery life, general functionally and how it holds up to the elements is greatly appreciated.

might consider EoTech, but after that debacle I'm not sure about giving them my money.

I think the deltapoints are fine. I think 4moa is the max for a usable dot at any distance, you can do a lot with a 12.5" AR, but not so much with a 6.5 moa dot

That is kind of what has me leaning towards the triangle. Assuming my astigmatism doesn't fuck up my sight picture, I could zero the tip of the triangle at line 125 yards, then use the meat and potatoes of it in close, which is why I built this SBR. I was thinking I could use the tip of the triangle like an ACOG chevron for something at 150-200 yards range, which is about max this rifle will see. Obviously the rest of the target would be covered, which isn't ideal but I'm not very concerned about distance. If I was, I'd go ACOG with minidot up top but I just don't see the need on this build.

I'm not opposed to going smaller, but I think 4 MOA is as small as I'd go unless I had something along the lines of an EOtech reticle, 1moa dot surrounded by a 4-6 MOA circle.

Said fuck it and impulse bought a Sig Romeo3. If it doesn't work out I'm sure I can find something to put in on. Initial impression of the sight is good. Sturdy. Easy to mount. Easy to adjust. Easy to change the battery. Motion activated.
