Desert tactical boots extra wide???

I wear an 11 6E in New Balance athletic shoes. I'm looking at Blackhawk Worrior wear, Bates, Converse, all the major brands. Do any of you have any experience with these as far as width?
I uaually throw the shoes away and wear the boxes, WIDE foot. Wich one do I need to fit????? I tried on the Blackhawk lightweight boot, it's like a tennis shoe, the fit was good but the "Tan" color is a funky color. Thanks for your opinions.

Do not...I repeat. ...do not get converse. Absolutely horrible. Poor construction, and extremely uncomfortable. There is a indent in the rubber on the heel of the boot. That indent will rub your heel and drive you nuts. The first set I received the side zipper broke in two right out of the box. Sent in for replacement, a month and a half later, got a new pair. Three months later the side started coming apart. I like the ridge ghosts. They clear metal detectors.

I didn't see 511 on your list, stay away from those as well,

Danner is the way to go, everything else is china crap

I'd be in Danners now but they are not wide enough. I have a pair of S.W.A.T boots, they are okay but about worn out, not much foot support. Oh yeah, I'm wanting 5"-6" hiegth. Bates makes an extra wide but in tall boots only

Check out the OTB Desert Lites. New Balance is the parent company. The tan version are what I wear when I am training or at the range. The black Jungle Lites I wear to work.

can't go wrong with Danner. I have many sets of their TFX tactical boots. I even got my platoon a set and they loved them.

lonewolf: how long have the OTB boots been out? Have never heard of them.

I have worn OTB dive boots for many expeditions and found them to be Great for walking
You can't go wrong

Not sure. The Desert Lites and Jungle Lites are new, but I believe OTB has been making boots for a bit.

I have wide feet as well. Not as wide as yours! I really like my Timberland's. They have a weird insert thing that changes the width "PreciseFit™ System". I'm 11 2-3E depending on brand, and the medium size insert fits me well. I have had them about a year I liked them so much I bought a second pair. I have them in coyote it's a little darker but $60ish and I'm very happy.
