i have a 700 ltr that ive decided to try and bed the action. picked up 1/4x28 studs, modeling clay and tape, question is ive heard marinetex is ok but i see everybody using devcon. so is devcon the best thing to use? also where is the best place to get it?

Re: devcon or marinetex

devcon all the way. Just type in devcon 10110 into google and just look for who has it in stock and the cheapest, i got mine for like 24 bucks off of some online tool website

Re: devcon or marinetex

Devcon has a higher viscosity and seems to stick a little better without flowing into places its not supposed to be. Once cured they are very comparible but I favor devcon for bedding and texturing.

The only advantage for me with marinetex is that I live near the water and can pick it up anywhere vs waiting for devcon to be shipped.

Try MSC Industrial Supply for a source of Devcon, also FYI, some devcon is offered in a putty and a liquid, get the putty, it's still a liquid just earier to work with, the one they call a liquid is like water.
