There isn't any shops that have high end stuff on display. Some custom shops yes.

2 I'd recommend and I go to myself are the bullet trap in Plano and SAW guns in Mesquite / Sunnyvale.

Ray's Hardware carries a decent selection of POF, Surgeon, Sako, and Tikka rifles. They didn't carry NightForce earlier this year when I was in there.
For pistol's or any tactical gear/accessories I would recommend GT Distributors.

Next door to Bacbman is a placed Chicken and Rice, it's greasy good stuff, and cheap, directly across the street is a great Greek place, Bachman is a great place for production pistols, ok on rifles, and good for overpriced AR's, Rays is way too exspensive on everything.

Are you stuck in Dallas? If not, drive to SAW guns in Mesquite. Prices are pretty good and selection is much better than Bachmans. Bullet Trap is as well. Hell, call me and I'll meet you at the bullet trap. 214-504-5086. I'm home today.

If you don't mind a 2 hr drive you can see what TacPro has...not bad if you combine it with a range-day. I've purchased several sidearms from Bachman & the Bullet Trap. See if Reverend Dan is still at the Bullet Trap-.he used to have my credit card number memorized LOL.
