DI Precision (about post)

Ya I’ve been thinking a super grade with a mullerworks would be pretty slick
I love my 16 inch lightweight barrel on my KIDD. I was in the process of planning a bolt 22lr build to replace a Begara, wanting a vudoo or RimX, but with all the unrest in the high end bolt 22lr market I figured I would wait and just scratch the itch with a better barrel on the KIDD. Changing barrels is a 1 minute thing. So it was the easy path while it all gets sorted out. Everybody needs a custom 10/22. And KIDD is the proper answer there.

I'm going to _assume_ that Three Sigma Mfg is still doing Vudoo's actions --> then they (Vudoo) send them out to @David Lott for him to "work his magic" on them...

IF this is how it currently works -- I'm surprised that Three Sigma Mfg wouldn't just drop-ship directly to David, in order for him to complete his builds in a timely / efficient manner. 🤔

David, you _did_ mention to me tho that Vudoo might coat them or something -- is that right?

My deal is with Vudoo, Vudoo sends them to me nitrided(all disassembled) on their FFL, I then put all the parts together to make a complete action.
So they will be making their actions in house now?
Not that I know of, machines meaning what they had in UT,

A 360 built by David
25” straight shank 13 twist running Midas +
Shot some very respectable groups out to 700 with just the scope, when weather cooperates here soon we will be pushing it to a 1000 with the MK8 prism to see if we can achieve.

A very impressive rifle as far as accuracy

Love to see some groups, I'm really hoping to do the same with mine when I get it! Did you lot test / or no...

I always had good luck with Midas + in my sons rifle, so when David built this rifle I started out with Midas + and some SK to season the barrel and stayed with Midas since. If I need to I can tweak the Cortina Tuner to bring a new batch of 22LR back together.

Last May 30th 2024 I made a appointment to get the 22 tested at Lapua, they told me last month they were running about year out so I would think some day soon I should be getting a email or call.

Any update this week on arrival of the 360 actions for current builds ordered? Thanks!
Buyer beware, I was supposed to have my barreled action on May 19th, called to check and was told they had the action and were waiting on small parts.

Waited 4 weeks to today to give them some extra time with the vudoo stuff going on. Was now told they don’t have my action or small parts and are waiting on vudoo with no expected eta.

Asked for a refund and was told I would have to wait for that too. Be careful moving forward.

Well, you're not alone

I ordered a barreled action in December.
Mid April I was told the same ("waiting for the small parts").
Then it turned out they had no actions on hand either.
So I was charged $3000 for a place in the queue, without actual materials/products being purchased for my order.
I guess DI's business model is to spend your money on materials and labor for people who ordered 3-6 months before you. It worked when supply chain was working. But now, without clear timeline for new actions being produced - we're left in the cold...

@David Lott -- I'm hoping a post from you concerning us customers that have builds on order with DI is forthcoming.

I'm not mad (yet) but with all of the Vudoo shake-up... it'd be great to see open / honest communication on some kind of cadence to the community here, OR via email to your customers inbox.

At the present time, I have NO clue as to where I am in the queue, if there is a queue. All I know is that I have already paid and seeing the above comment regarding refunds is a bit disheartening -- to say the least...

I want to support y'all -- but the silence is killin' me, smalls! 😅

I don't want to give bad information, so until Jacob tells me himself this is what I know, Vudoo has moved into their new location, I know that they recieved actions and that they are setting up and getting back into production. You can imagine the setback this has caused killing our cashflow while the bills are still there, machine payments, the shop payment all the utilities, payroll etc. I am doing a bunch of barrel work in the meantime to keep things going but I've had to secure extra funding and that is taking a little time to get done but once that is in place we will be in a better position. I appreciate your patience in this matter and hope you guys can hang tite a little bit longer so that we can give you one of the best rim fire barreled actions available. I did receive some 90 degree actions if anybody wants that instead. We are also working on a few projects that are almost done that will tickle your fancy.
