Die question; Redding S die

I think I know the answer but just want to be sure.

For the full length Redding S type die, if you do not have a bushing in it it still sizes and does everything exactly the same way a standard full length sizing die that doesn't have the option for the bushing does, correct? It's obviously better to have the correct bushing for ideal neck tension, but can it be used as a 'standard' full length sizer without the bushing?

It will size the body but will not size the neck at all without a bushing
