LMAO. EPIC.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

Thank you for the explanation. I know to some people its a dumb question. thats why I joined the forum,to learn. I appreciate the help.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

On the serious side:
Double turn knobs reach max elevation in two revolutions. As stated above it can allow larger spaces between clicks. The potential downside is keeping track of what revolution you are on in reference to your zero.
Single turn knobs accomplish this in one revolution. This can result in smaller space between clicks and/or a larger knob. The benefit is there is nothing to lose track of, especially in stressful situations.
Lastly, all of these options vary from company to company and even from scope to scope within a company's line. Especially if you are comparing a milradian knob and an MOA knob. There are a lot of variations to consider... research is key before a purchase.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

Thats the explaination I needed. Thanks again guys. The reason why I asked was cause I was thinking about getting a mil/mil scope from S&B and the military rep had sent me alist of their scopes w/ themilitary discounted price an at the bottom said some come in single turn or double turn. So I got confused. Thanks Zeroed1983 for the info.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

S&B single turn knobs have about 13.2 mils in the single revolution. Is usually enough to get most out to however far they need to be. They are lower profile as well. Here is a pic of the single turn

The dual turn have 14 mils per turn and sit higher. They have a window which allows the shooter to see that they are on the second revolution by showing yellow as opposed to being clear on the first turn. Here's a pic of the dual turn

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

Always easier to see it than trying to picture it from descriptions. Glad to help.

So which you going to get?

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

My current has the P4F but the one in the pic had a Gen II. Both work well but not sure you can find the Gen II versions anymore.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

They are few and far between and you pay a premium for it. I have been looking for one to match my GenII 3-12 but may end up getting a P4F.

Yes, and the MTC turrets are amazing.

But tough to get out of to the MTC to the next .1 mark and sometimes .2 mark. Atleast they were with the two I had.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

I'll agree with that. Its not as easy as a turret where all the clicks are the same, but after running it for a bit now, I've kinda got used to it. I don't over-run them as much as I did when I just got it. The more I use them, the more I like them.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

Both. I had the 22 on my 3-15 and the 14 on my 5-25. It was better on the 5-25 but still there. Would be better without the MTC like the S&B knobs.

Re: difference between single & double turn turrets?

More Tactile Clicks. Just means that there is a heavier click at all the full mil marks.
