Rifle Scopes Difference in "weaver" and "picatinni" for tps?

I have a nightforce one piece base that is a standard 1913 pic. and I thought I needed to get the picatinni style rings but I'm not sure what the "weaver" style is so I tried to look it up and I'm not having any luck. Will either one work? Which ones do I need?
