nothing wrong with a gempro 250. Like most other strain gauge scales it is sensitive to temperature, dirty power and static electricity. If you can use it in a space where the environment can be controlled it will function just fine. The other thing with most of these types of scales is they are programmed to account for drift. So if you are trickling into a try, it will most likely detect the few kernels being dropped as drift and not show a weight change. The way around this is to drop a few kernels and lift the pan, let the scale zero and replace the pan or trickle off the scale. The high end scales like the fx120i are force restoration scales, very different.
