Is the 1050 frame and head stiff enough for large 308 cases from gas guns and machine guns that need a lot of brass movement. It just looks like the head floating on 2 supports to me. I know it will do it just trying to bump shoulder back .001 or .002" consistently and I currently have to do that on a single stage .

Also looking at creedmoor etc and the new 1100 says 2.75" coal max. That's not even enough for 308!!!!

Both the 1050 and 1100 were made to be able to handle used military brass, they have built in primer pocket swaging.

The 1050 can handle up to .30-06 length cases, the 1100 .308 length. Both are available configured for 6.5 Creedmoor right from the Dillon factory.

You arent going to get the precision that you want IMO.

Maybe 004-006...with tight dies.

Then you have to basically re-run your first 7 pieces because the machine wont be "consistent" until all stations are full, and at the end your last few pieces need to be saved for next run.

Ive probably case prepped 100k rounds on a chain drive Dillon 1050...

1. feed
2. decap(lee universal I think is what I run, get extra decapping pins, they are $2)
3. swage
4. empty(primer seating)
5. empty(powder thrower)
6. trim/size(Dillon die/RT1500 trimmer)
7. empty
8. either another sizing die(forster or other high quality size die) or a neck expander mandrel from 21st century(dillon trim die necks are a little tight because they are cut with a sizing die reamer, but have no expander ball).

Ive got 2 prep heads setup like that(223 and 300blk)...

Makes great brass, but it wont hold 001-002...
