I'm wondering what type of powder funnel will fit into the Dillon .30 powder die/funnel combo I'm going to use. I'm not using their powder measure so I need a funnel to dump from another measure into my case. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

Re: Dillon powder die ?

I had no idea that they made one. I have four or five Dillon powder dies and never got a funnel. I want to use another measure so I have to find the adapter piece.

Thanks for the help!

Re: Dillon powder die ?

Well I have a Lee one currently, and Dillon just told me it won't work with their conversion.

I'll revert back to my previous question and ask, What measure is going to accurately meter RL-17 and Varget?

None match ammo with stick powder = weighing. Throw a few tenths light and trickle to desired weight.

Re: Dillon powder die ?

The whole thing seems to be a run around for me then. If I'm having to pull each case to weigh, it seems like using the Dillon measure would work fine, if I'm trickling a little extra powder anyways.

Your correct to load true match ammo with the Dillon the stock thrower is fine because you need to pull and weigh each charge to be within .1gr accurate. That said try some Ramshot TAC and you will be suprised how good of ammo you can produce just throwing.

Re: Dillon powder die ?

I use a Hornady case activated powder drop with a RCBS Uniflow on my Dillon 550 and rarely cut any kernels with RE15. If I feel a kernel get cut I just pull the case out of station 3 and weigh the charge. I am usually within .1 and very rarely .2 of my target charge weight.
