When we are talking about what should happen after the fact in a situation, what did happen is important. Not what can happen. I am sure that was scary for the police, and I am sure their fear helped escalate the situation. As did having 20 or 30 kids in a group, that were already hyped up from a fight. Get 30 kids together there will be at least 3 stupids dumbing the whole group down. Now put 3 or 4 hundred of them in a facility together and see who is the biggest influence.
I never said anything about a reward or even a light sentence. I said I wanted to know more before I had an opinion on proper punishment.
I highly doubt any of those kids could get a pistol out of a triple retention holster. But could haves and would haves mean nothing.
I am glad none of the police were hurt. I have been punched a twelve year old girl that would clean her clock, and it didn't hurt. Cut my lip and made my mouth bleed.
While I generally agree with SCD, there is that one absolutely over riding concern, gun retention. If I had any concern with that Id plug one of the little bastards before Id let them take my gun.

Hey I agree. Many things, not just people, wouldn’t ever survive if they they didn’t stereotype and pre judge situations, things, and even people at some level. It is a natural thing to do.

My reason for posting was we had a pot calling the kettle black situation going on that seemed could be a bit better balanced.
Maybe they could get those kid's Fathers, Dads, to watch that video and then hand out some WhupAss as needed?

Statistically about 70% of them don’t have Father’s. Which, of course, is part of the problem.
dad? who needs a dad? you got the welfare state providing for these mommas, so they dont need a dad.
it is a serious problem and the root of a lot of ills in our society. and i am not talking minorities.....it is a problem across the board. these single women on “assistance” live a helluva lot higher on the hog than i do working my ass off in a highly skilled tech trade job for the last 24 years. to marry a working man, cuts off their assistance and means a big step down in living standards for them. i am not talking out of my ass, i saw it firsthand with my second wife. she was OH-so-pissed when she found out all the things we had to pay for. it didnt last long....she decided living off the public tit was more fun.
The most offensive part of that is apparently they will let anyone use photoshop. Geeze I could have done a better job with a Sharpe, scissors, and masking tape.

The Govt. needs to do a Major overhaul of the welfare system and get these people off of their ASSes and on their Feet, with job training, other education, and as much as I hate it, Drug testing.
It is obvious to me that what we are doing now is not working and while we are at that task, start in on this Homeless epidemic.
I would suggest Large mental health facilities and work camps such as the CCC from years ago.
Keep these people from just shitting in the streets and ally ways and shooting up here there and everywhere.
I fear it will not be long before diseases and cooties from the Homeless start effecting us all.
I wish I had some answers but I don't. Above my pay grade so to speak. FM
