DIP Inc. Backorder Time?

I bought all their CZ453 upgrade parts last week (trigger guard, magwell, mag release, 11mm pic rail).

I received everything but the 11mm pic rail, which turns out to be backordered.

Any experience on how long it takes to get such a part? I bought these things for a new 453 and I can't shoot it without a scope. Every part is ready, just waiting for the pic rail so I can see what height rings I need.

I could cancel and get an EGW rail today, but I feel like the EGW is unnecessarily high over bore. Any other alternatives?

I have a 455 varmint and ordered just the 11mm 25 MOA extended base. It took about 3 weeks. Just gotta call to get updates from time to time.

Which rail?

I received a 25moa 11mm extended rail last week... I emailed them and they said the rails are out of stock and will be in stock in a few weeks, then received my full order in the same week after placing it. (mag housings, screws, striker springs, rail)

Just have the receiver drilled and tapped for a 10/22 rail. Then you can shim it to base out the scope.

I ordered a stainless base from Murphy Precision. It was at my door in about 9 days. I am very impressed with the quality. It costs $125 + 7 shipping. for that price they allow you to decide what MOA you want and what finish you want. It attaches with six brass tipped screws down through the top of the base. seems to be very solid.

Does that Murphy base require drilling and tapping the receiver?

No. It slides over the dovetail.

Ended up just switching for the DIP rail that doesn't extend over the receiver. They had those in stock and shipped it out right away. They responded fast.
