Gunsmithing Disasembly of a import M1A rear sight

I am having one hell of a time trying to disassemble a norinco rear sight on a buddys M-14. Apparently my google-fu has let me down. I am trying to get this done so I can spray and bake it this weekend, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same as US with different threads.

Pop off the cover with a little upward pressure toward the rear.

Then two screw drivers in the screws.

If the threads are rusted inside soak it in Kroil overnight, and if still stuck apply some heat to the base.
