DIY Glass Bedding

I started a glass and pillar job on my first stock recently. The pillars look good. However, it looks like I didn't put enough bedding material into the action channel and recoil lug area. It isn't yet fully cured (feels a bit hard and slightly sticky rubber). Should I add more bedding compound?
