Gunsmithing Diy lathe

Most of the 9" SB lathes have a .900" spindle bore, probably too small for most rifle work unless you want to get really good with a steady rest. I own a 9A with the power crossfeed, it's a great machine for general purpose work, runs smooth as butter and is nice and quiet! Unfortunately, the handwheel dials are tiny, hard to read and pretty much useless, so most work other than just truing surfaces will require indicators or a dial mod.
